Glass Curtain Walls | Glass Standoffs | Glass Systems

Doralco was challenged to create glass curtain walls with glass brackets to match the unique style and flair of University of Chicago’s newest buildings.  Designed by Harmon Inc., these beautiful glass curtain walls with minimal visual interference were created using Doralco’s new Glass Standoffs.  Using these structural glass wall brackets, the architect designed the majority of the exterior of the two buildings ( glass brackets shown here in stainless steel).   “This project presented a unique glass curtain wall challenge for our fabrication teams due to the rounded corners and multiple angles, but the result was visually exciting and true to the style of the structure.” stated Matt Jabaay, Vice President of Operations for Doralco. 

The minimalist design of the glass brackets allow the flexibility of glass panel removal and/or replacement, as found out by the glass curtain walls installation team.  “These glass systems are very resilient,” complimented the General Contractor, “We’ve had to remove them a few times to put additional (large) equipment in the building that wouldn’t fit through the entrances.”  These unique glass brackets can be adjusted or made to fit virtually any structure, giving this unique look to a wide variety of buildings.

Glass Splice Plates | Glass Brackets & Glass Fin Walls

Glass Splice Plates by Doralco are the glass bracket solution to large glass joints.  From structural glass fin walls to glass wall panels, Glass Splice Plates provide a glass system with strong joints and a contemporary industrial design. 

Each Splice Plate in these glass systems is made to fit the application and can be accessorized with any hardware, including bullet bolt covers (shown here).  This photo shows a project using Doralco’s Glass Splice Plates in stainless steel to create contemporary industrial glass fin walls 30 feet high in Chicago, IL.
